Tabernacles in the Wilderness

"[The Salt Lake Tabernacle] is a peculiar building, the only one of its kind in all the world. It was built almost a century and a half ago in the days of the poverty of our people. It was literally a Tabernacle built in the wilderness. The temple was far from finished at the time. Those who built the Tabernacle did so with faith, as well as their rudimentary architectural skills. Skeptics, of whom there are always many, predicted that when the scaffolding was removed, the roof would come down with it. This did not happen, and it has remained in place through sunshine and storm through all of these many years."  (Gordon B. Hinckley, "A Tabernacle in the Wilderness," Ensign, May 2007, 43)
As I thought about that today.  I thought we are like a Tabernacle in the Wilderness.  And sometimes our success in this life has many skeptics doubting, including ourselves.  But we will not fail.  We too with God's help will remain "in place through sunshine and storm" today and in the years to come.

Just Keep Swimming

Ok, So here's my deep thought for the day. There are days, months and sometimes years when it seems like all the trials of the world are heaped upon us. I think Dory's assessment is great!

Sometimes all we can do is "Just Keep Swimming" or "Just keep breathing":) But we aren't swimming alone. If we keep our faith in Christ we will Endure to the End.

2Nephi 31:20 Wherefore, ye must press forward with a asteadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of bhope, and a clove of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and dendure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eeternal life.
Matt. 13:13 But he that shall bendure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
So Sisters LET'S "Just Keep Swimming!!"
